Passion Shields, #3

Benjamin Moss loves his wife even has her insecurity pushes at his control. He finally tells her his past and she shows him her scars. Now they have to deal with external forces that try to manipulate and control both of them.

Scores is the third book in the Passion Shields series by Kiru Taye. This book is best read as part of the series to get a full understanding of the two main characters.

The beginning of the story picks up where the prior story leaves off. By the end of the first chapter, I could not wait to finish the book. The author created a world that was very realistic and I was able to picture it clearly. The flowed well never leaving me bored but there was not too much going on that it was hard to concentrate. The main characters and the secondary characters were thought-provoking and very life like. I loved that Selina had to battle herself and her doubts to finally see herself as Ben saw her.

The point of view alternated between Benjamin and Selina but primary staying with Selina. The author changed the point of view to completely tell the story in a way it was seamless. This book is a continuation of Ben and Selina’s story. It was great to see how far Selina comes in trusting Ben and how much Ben guides her without her really being aware. The dialogue between the characters was honest and unique. The characters voice matched not only the setting but fit their overall personality. The ending is filled with twists and turns that kept me interesting all the way through the story. I hope we get to see these characters again in the future.
