Game Over

Tony Dartanion has kept his work life and his home life completely separate. He does not acknowledge his partner Caelen Tomlin exists while he is at work or anywhere outside the bedroom. Tony keeps it private because he wants to make Captain in the Philadelphia PD and is afraid it would interfere with him getting the job. Caelen is tired of not being acknowledged outside the bedroom. Tony realizing he would lose the man he loves he plans an event to show Caelen why there were together.

The sex between Tony and Caelen is off the charts but the chemistry between them was off. I had a hard time seeing them together. They just did not fit well outside the bedroom. That could be because there was not many scenes with Tony and Caelen outside the bedroom to get a full picture of them together.

At only 80 pages, the author barely scratched the surface of the story. I wish the story was longer to get a better picture of the issues driving Tony and Caelen and to see if they could make it long term. Overall, I loved the premise of the story. I hope to see more from these characters in the future and of the author Cassandre Dayne.

Book Blurb for Game Over

Tony Dartanion kept his private life hidden from the majority of the world. A decorated detective in the grittiest precinct in Philadelphia, Tony was hungry to make Captain and willing to do almost anything to get the title. Unfortunately however, the precinct had a "don’t ask, don’t tell" policy that enraged Tony and forced him to hide for years. In fact, his brothers in blue believe Tony's a card-carrying member of the chasing skirts and stilettos club. But the truth is, Tony's in love with a man he barely acknowledges outside the bedroom.

Tony knew his lover, Caelen Tomlin, was tired of being a dirty little secret. In the beginning, he and Caelen savored a highly erotic relationship and now, if Tony were being honest, they were barely more than friends. Realizing he was going to lose the golden haired model he adored if he didn’t change his ways, Tony planned an event to remind Caelen exactly why they were together. With Tony determined to change his ways and meet Caelen's every need, who could have thought Caelen would refuse the invitation and that his actions would force Tony to make an excruciating choice?
