Game Misconduct was an amazing read. I absolutely loved it. I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning.
Oriana and Max have been friends for a while. She is dating the coach and so Max can't have her, even though he wants more. Oriana knows this but she has put the friend boundary up because she is dating the coach, even though she has feelings for Max too. The coach does not treat Oriana well at all. He belittles her often and overall is just a jerk. She gets ready to leave him but then catches Max and Sloan together with a prostitute and things go awry. She puts up the friend buffer some and then later decides to just cut it off all together. Max does not give up on her and tells her that he will be there for her when she needs him. Oriana catches the coach cheating and she decides to leave him and goes to Max for help. And this is the start that will draw you in.
Oriana is just starting to stand up for herself after all of the emotional and mental beat downs that have been happening to her for a long time. Max lives with five other players and he involves them to help her out.
This story has plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader’s attention. It is written really well and it just flows through the entire time. I was drawn in and I didn't want to leave, even when the story was over. All of the characters were written well and believable. It all felt natural and I was just pulled into the world that Bianca Sommerland created.
The sex is explicit and frequent. Emotion is not part of it for everyone at the beginning but it is developed, and developed realistically. There are multiple partners in this story so if that is not your thing then this is not the book for you. There is only one female and all of the relationships focus on her, she is the center. There are all kinds of kinks that go on between the different guys and their relationship with Oriana but it is not just about sex. There is a relationship being built and there is also action outside of that. There is a happy ending. I greatly enjoyed reading this story and I didn't and couldn't stop reading it once I started. This is the first novel in the Dartmouth Cobras series and I can't wait for more.
The game has always cast a shadow over Oriana Delgado's life. She should hate the game. But she doesn't. The passion and the energy of the sport is part of her. But so is the urge to drop the role of the Dartmouth Cobra owner's 'good daughter' and find a less...conventional one.
Playmaker, Max Perron, never expected a woman to accept him and his twisted desires. Oriana came close, but he wasn't surprised when she walked away. A girl like her needs normal. Which he can't give her. He's too much of a team player, and not just on the ice.
But then Oriana's father goes too far in trying to control her and she decides to use exposure as blackmail. Just the implication of her spending the night with the Cobra's finest should get her father to back off.
Turns out a team player is exactly what she needs.
