Red Hot Holiday

Three totally different Christmas stories by three extraordinary authors. Each story is heart-warming and full of love yet each is unique. Okay, all three have plenty of hot sex, Christmas secrets and a happy ending but that’s where the similarities end except that they are easy to get lost in and very well written. I loved each of these stories for similar reasons. Each touched my heart quickly and I fell in love with the characters almost immediately. Though Wish List is m/m and the other two are more traditional m/f, the love between the characters is so obvious that no matter what your preference you should love all three stories. Okay, there is also a little bit of BDSM and even a ménage scene in one of the stories but they are beautifully written and an outstanding example of each author’s writing style. These stories may have been written with the backdrop of Christmas but they are mostly love stories and can be read and thoroughly enjoyed any time of the year.

Wish List starts out this anthology. Jonah and Evan have been dating for a couple of years and when Jonah finds rings hid in Evan’s desk he immediately thinks marriage and that he’s not ready. To that end, he makes a list of things he’d like to try and that he’s sure Evan would not. When Evan finds it, he begins to wonder how to introduce some of his favorite kinks into a relationship that has never had any. Jonah in the meantime is looking online and wondering if he could cheat on the man he loves.

The gift of the Magi has to be the inspiration for Leah Braemel’s I Need You for Christmas. Megan is a Mountie working miles away from her sculptor boyfriend, Ryan. Each is following their dream but they have had enough. Each is willing to change their dream if they can be together and each plans on telling the other at Christmas. Neither knows the other’s plan but can they work this out?

The last story is probably the most poignant. Thea is a young grieving widow of two years. She’s been seeing Ronan but she refuses to accept that he’s more than a sexual partner. Ronan is ready to push her to accept that she feels more. This is either going to make their relationship or break it.

Each of these stories is wonderful and each shows the importance of communication. So, let me communicate, read this anthology. There is not a bad story in it!
