The Cat Star Chronicles, #4

Cheryl Brooks Outcast is the 4th book in the Cat Star Chronicles. These are not shifter books, but are sci-fi romance. In Outcast Cheryl tries and succeeds at something new. This novel takes place on the world of Terra Minor. It’s very character based and both the hero and heroine are strong characters and they both drive the storyline.
Lynx has recently arrived on the world of Terra Minor and seeks work as a minor. There are no mining jobs available. Terra Minor has a law that requires all residents to be gainfully employed. Luckily, or not so luckily, Lynx finds a job helping out on a farm. The farm work is not the problem, it the female owner. It’s just him and her and a bunch of enochs. Enoch’s are similar to ostriches. Their eggs are collected and bring in a nice profit. Lynx is like no other Zetithian. He doesn’t like women and that’s such a crime. Zetithian men are known for their love of women and the pleasure they can bring. Lynx is physically and emotionally broken. Will Bonnie be able to fix what so many other women have done to break?
Bonnie is pregnant and the father has left her high and dry. She still has the farm, but all the money is gone. She has to find some way of paying a helper, as she’s not able to do all the work on the farm herself. Soon we find out that her ex is a bigger sleaze than we thought. Will Syler, the sleaze return for his child?
If you have read the prior books you will be happy to hear that you will get some insights into past character lives, including Cat and Jack’s.
Outcast is a good look into what it would be like to be a space adventurer and all the trials and tribulations of cultivating a life on a new world. Talk about tough work and tough people. You would have to be very touch to survive the challenges put before you. Bonnie is the embodiment of a woman, who has had a hard life, but in this HEA she finely gets all she deserves and a life that is complete. Cheryl Brooks made it all come alive and I enjoyed this stellar read. I look forward to more Cat Star Chronicles… Cheryl knows how to keep the storylines unique and the men hot.
