Josie Weston had plans and Forrest Jankowski step right in and ruined them. Showing up and moving in with his sister, her boss, he helps out in the café flirting with the women who come in. And if that’s not bad enough he’s doing Tarot card readings, as if you could tell things about a person by looking at some cards. Still it’s hard to deny her attraction to him. When he tells her he has visions and she’s in danger she still doesn’t believe him until her car is vandalized. Now she needs to believe him, but will it keep her safe?
Forrest knew his sister needed him so he went to her. Finding Josie there was a pleasant surprise even more so when he got the vision of them together. Her standoffish to down right cold attitude do pose a few problems, but he was sure they’d work through them. When he envisions her being stalked he insist that she be extra careful sensing she doesn’t believe him he begins following her himself. Needing her to believe him he tells her about his abilities. She doesn’t believe him at first, but once she does the questions start. Can he let her in? More important will he ever be able to let her go?
Action and desire go hand in this story. Issues of love and trust draw you in making you want the characters to overcome their obstacles. Andrews does a good job of giving you just a hint of the villain to keep you guessing.
