All Sara McGregor thought she wanted out of life was to be a successful writer, and being tapped to pen a travelogue about dude ranches across America seemed like a step in that direction. She was practically done with her research, which entailed traveling from ranch to ranch, interviewing owners, staff and guests. There was only one more stop to make, in Wyoming, and then back to her lukewarm life in Berkley, California. Sara still lived at home with her mother and father, and dated Kyle, a lawyer that her father was totally crazy about. The bad thing was, Sara wasn’t. In fact, Kyle just made her feel comfortable and safe. No sizzle or explosive chemistry to speak of.
While settling into that last dude ranch in Wyoming, Sara finds herself on the receiving end of a romantic knockout punch delivered by Cal Pearson, the sexiest cowboy that ever wore a pair of boots. Try as she might in the beginning to keep her distance, she finds herself thrown together with him on a cattle drive. It doesn’t take long for the sparks to fly and romance to bloom. Still, all good things must come to an end, and both Cal and Sara wonder what the future will hold for them once the drive is over and Sara’s research is done. Sara is not so sure that her life will ever be the same and she’s not so sure that she wants it to be. Can a laid-back girl from Berkley, California find happiness with a rugged cowboy from the Wyoming mountains?
Sara’s Cowboy is a wonderfully, fast-paced romance involving two people that couldn’t be more different from each other if they tried. Still, despite those differences, they fit well together, balancing each other out. Cal and Sara’s chemistry is undeniable and their love scenes are explosive and extremely hot. In each other, both Cal and Sara have found the best thing they never knew they needed, so to speak.
I really enjoyed this book, and recommend it to anyone who loves their romance served up with a healthy dose of hunky cowboy. If you have been searching for a great contemporary romance centered around two people who are as different as night and day, but are perfect for each other, then Sara’s Cowboy should definitely be at the top of your reading list.

Thanks to her attempt to make it as a freelance writer, Sara McGregor is on a tour of the west, ending it at a Wyoming dude ranch. She’s just there to do an interview on the simple life, but things get very complicated when she meets Cal Pearson. He’s nothing like the men she knows back in Berkley; he’s arrogant, rude, and he calls her darlin. and she sets out to prove to the irritating cowboy that she’s not one bit attracted to him. Too bad it isn’t true. Sara and Cal fight it out with humor, stubbornness and a healthy dose of lust, finding out that you can make love work if you’re just willing to find a little common ground, in or out of the bedroom, and Sara gets the one thing she never thought she’d want. Her very own cowboy.
