The Zarain shapeshifters have some enemies which creates some spine tingling tension and excitement as well which includes a few graphic scenes of violence and some unexpected twists and betrayals spice the story up even more ensuring that there is never a dull moment. Well written scenes and details bring the story to life while the suspenseful events draw the reader in and refuse to let go.

This shapeshifter world is fascinating and full of interesting elements and intriguing characters. I was completely caught up in the story until the very end and I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.
