By My Side

Safe Word: Oasis

“By My Side (Safe Word:Oasis)” by Michele Zurlo is an excellent novella detailing some of the sensual elements of BDSM play. Personal assistant Marcella finally garners the courage to request a fantasy from Oasis so that she can act on the attraction that she has felt for her boss Sean ever since she started working for him more than a year prior. A fortuitous cancellation allows Marcella to volunteer to be Sean’s submissive for a charity benefit that he is holding and he reluctantly agrees to allow the substitution provided Marcella allows him to perform several scenes to test her tolerance. The two of them explore the limits of their D/s relationship and Marcella gives private thanks that she contacted Oasis to request a wish fulfillment that allows her to finally show Sean what she truly feels for him. Sean finally acts on the attraction that he has been feeling even as he questions whether he will be able to share the responsive submissive with an audience, no matter how worthy the cause.

The second sizzling tale in the Safe Word: Oasis series. A sensual description of the journey that can be taken when a pair of lovers first start exploring the benefits of using bondage and toys to enhance their relationship. The description of the gradual buildup of intensity of the relationship is both titillating and romantic and I look forward to reading other works by this talented author.
