Sasha Llewellen, first introduced in "A Wolf At The Door", has come to New Zealand to mediate with the local wolf pack regarding inter-cooperation and exchange between the packs. Unfortunately Sasha meets Megan, a human and his mate, when he makes a bet about her that later comes back to bite him on the rear. He finds her again when he stops for a drink on the way to the meeting. A scuffle with her boyfriend ensues and the pull of the mating call causes him to be late to the first meeting with the Alpha of the native pack. Megan's charm saves the day and a new meeting time is arranged.
Sasha begins seeing more and more of Megan and begins to try to find a way to convince her to return with him to Wales. An encounter outside a club leaves him worried about what is really going down with the wolf Pack in New Zealand. Sightings of werewolves by humans is endangering them all. Warned to walk away from Conner's Pack or pay the price, Sasha ignores them and warns Conner of what he has heard and learned. Unfortunately Megan may be the one to pay the price in the end.
This is the second book in the Snowdonia Pack series and although I recommend reading the series in order, "A Handful Of Wolf" can easily be read as a stand alone. Ms. Gray has continued with her humorous style and quick witty dialogue to once again give us a very good story. I have a weakness for shifter stories and this series is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I hope to read Sasha's sister's story soon. Maybe she will tell us more about the New Zealand Pack as well. If you like your heroes with a touch of humor and an ability to adapt on the fly and your heroines strong-willed and intelligent you are going to fall in love with Sasha and Megan. I suggest you pick up a copy today and enjoy the adventure.
Sensual Level: Explicit / Overall Rating: Very Good
It was supposed to be a pleasure trip … see the sights, meet some girls … But when Sasha finds himself caught between a wolf uprising and the over-protective brothers of his would-be mate, his vacation turns from fun to deadly, fast.
The Snowdonia Wolves are back for another exciting adventure in A Handful of Wolf, Book 2 of Sofia Grey’s sexy paranormal romance series.
Sasha's not a looking-to-the-future kind of guy, but he's made an exception with his plans to travel and meet lots of pretty girls. Too bad his Pack Alpha, fate, and reality have other ideas about his trip abroad. He's pretty sure he didn't sign on to be a diplomat for the Snowdonia Wolf Pack. Or to find a Mate. Especially not a human Mate.
Megan knows better than to let a sweet-talking charmer get under her skin, but Sasha's sexy playfulness is making her forget all her rules. Except one: she's not willing to risk her heart by falling in love. The gorgeous boy from Wales can only be a fling, especially since her over-protective brothers hate him on sight.
In the midst of a wolf uprising, a hesitant Mate, and Megan’s complicated family ties, Sasha learns that sometimes impulsiveness is dangerous and even lethal. Can he show Megan why they belong together before it all comes crashing down around him and he loses his Mate forever?
