Healing the Fox: Animal Attraction

Healing the Fox: Animal Attraction by Michelle Houston is short and sweet. It’s the fifth book in the Animal Attraction series. Healing the Fox falls under twenty pages, and for such a short novella, it’s still a sexy and fun read.
Scott is a vet at a wildlife rehabilitation center. When a fox is brought in with a broken leg, Scott immediately recognizes that the fox is a fellow shifter. Since the rehabilitation center is short on funds, they don’t think twice about Scott taking the fox home and nursing it back to health there. After a couple of days of being under Scott’s tender care, the fox is finally able to shift and Scott soon realizes that the young shifter is his mate.
Christian is more than attracted to the handsome veterinarian who saved his life. Even though he feels an emotional bond with him, he still has to finish his semester at college and graduate. He’s not sure where Scott will fill into his life, but he hopes that somehow he will.
Will Scott and Christian be able find a way to be together?
I really wish this had been a longer story. There really isn’t much conversation between Scott and Christian, and I would have loved to have gotten to know each hero better too.  Although, I did like both heroes and there is an undeniable sexual chemistry between them.  I just didn’t feel the emotional connection as much. I still really liked this short. It was a great way to escape from everyday life for a short while, and I was very satisfied with the ending.
I’ve read a couple of other books in the Animal Attraction series, too. All the books are pretty short and satisfying readings. If you are in the mood for a light, short and sexy series, this would be a great series to read. Here are the names of the other books in the series in order: Taming the Wolf, Embracing the Leopard, Unleashing the Jaguar, Caging the Tiger and Healing the Fox. It’s not necessary to read the other books in the series to understand what’s going on in the book at all. So this book could definitely be read as a stand alone.
