I usually stay away from hardcore fantasy novels because I find that there are way too many details and characters and it is very easy to get lost in all of the details. After first reading this story I felt that Blood Bound and Beautiful was another one of this stories but it grew on me; there is so much to savor and enjoy about this story it just takes a while to grow on you. This story is not just and erotic romance with a few moments of magic and monsters in between thrown in to give it the fantasy label. It is a story about unexpected love and revealing the good side of ugly and unfamiliar things. Ms. Cherry has shown dedication to constructing this captivating world full of monsters, heroines and heroes, and dark magic. It is very impressive.
Blood Bound and Beautiful is an intelligent and highly engrossing epic erotic fantasy that deftly weaves the classic tales of forbidden love, family drama, and over the top battles with a healthy dose of detailed sex scenes together to create a remarkable must-read novel. I hope that this is the first book in a very longhand increasingly popular series.
