To my fabulous, amazing readers…
Throughout the release of The Reckless Hearts Series, you’ve stuck by me—loved on Collin, Max, and Gavin, even when they were at their most obnoxious, too. I realize that the world we live nowadays doesn’t exactly hold Alpha male characters at the top of the hero chart anymore, so to say I appreciate the love you have shown for my boys is beyond words in my vocabulary.
When I wrote these stories a few years back, I didn’t envision them as antiheroes or alpha-holes. To an author with a fantasy in her head, these three brothers were nothing more than a group of guys who became brothers, all because of one little girl. That was my intention. To created broken men who had no idea how to love the women in their lives, mainly because their own lives were complicated. Tragic even. And I hope, to at least one of you out there understood that about them.
You’ve witnessed their ups and downs, their first kisses, their park sexy-times, futon fails, and one-night-stands. You’ve accepted them as the rowdy guys that love to drink beer and play rugby too. You’ve loved them when they trample through snow to get to their women, when they make life-changing journeys after breaking bones. You’ve loved them, too, when they realize that the person they’ve been scared to be, is the one person they were meant to be. These three men fell in love with the woman who stole their hearts and just knowing I could share this world with you all has been worth every second of blood, sweat, and tears I have encountered while getting these three guys, and their equally amazing ladies, out into the world.
I’m nothing without fans, without you all there, liking my Facebook posts, my Instagram teasers, retweeting a random review. I’m nothing without the ones who email me, message me, hang with me in my tiny, yet fierce little Facebook group either. And for those things alone, I can’t thank you enough.
It’s been a joy writing for you all thus far, and I hope that with each passing day that comes in my career, you’ll continue to stick by me. Love me as much as I love you all. And even though the Reckless Hearts Series has ended, I, Heather Van Fleet, am only just getting started.

After the hell I've been through in the Marines—in life—there's nothing I crave more than routine, stability, peace. Until McKenna Brewer walks into my life.
She's impulsive, fiery, tempting as hell, and everything I don't need. But when she offers me a night of no-strings-attached passion, I can't resist.
When our night together has unexpected consequences, I can't help but think this might be the perfect opportunity to show McKenna just how much I want her.
The only problem? She doesn't do forevers. But forever is exactly what I need with her.
